About the Darlings
The Darling Sisters, Darla and Blossom, separated at birth but now together and having a ball! The Darling sisters are dedicated to style, good manners and individuality. The Darlings, together, have years of experience in fashion, etiquette, movement, public speaking, vintage styling, mixology, events and all those little niceties that turn meh into fwah, humph into verve and life into LIFE!
Darla: Photo by ShutterBug BabyDarla is the Darling Sisters’ resident fashionista and Miss Manners. Her philosophy is that ladies experience life with great shoes and a glass of champers. Oh, and red lipstick ... and Cuban-heeled stockings. Gentlemen know when to offer a lady a seat, and always notice what they are wearing – and they NEVER ask 'Is that new, and how much did you spend?' Darla has been teaching Charm School for a couple of years and has met some amazing ladies and gentlemen. Don’t forget, charm WILL get you everywhere! With her totally gorgeous sister Blossom, Darla tries to make the world a better place to live in.
Blossom: Photo by ShutterBug BabyBlossom is the Darling Sisters' mixologist and jazz lady. Her philosophy is that life is a gift that should be experienced and appreciated with all of the senses. We are definitely here for too brief a time to be expected to tolerate silly restrictive diets, poorly-made cloying cocktails and boorish table manners. Blossom feels very fortunate to live in Australia where we have access to some of the loveliest foods and beverages that the world can offer, not to mention wonderful musicians, glorious landscapes, clever artists and fascinatingly diverse people. Blossom's idea of the perfect evening is to meet interesting people from across the world while listening to excellent jazz, and clutching an elegant glass containing a perfectly-made extra-dry Martini. Everything seems so much nicer that way.
We'd like to introduce you to Lovely Lisa of ShutterBug Baby, our fave photographer and all-round Darling. Lisa is a professional photographer with years of experience in creating beautiful, positive portraits that make people look and feel like the Darlings they really are. Together, Lisa and the Darlings love to bring out people's inner beauty and put it out there for all to admire.
We are based in Canberra, Australia. We frequently like to travel all over Australia, bringing our Salons, photography, styling and products with us. We also have our own personal online shop: The Darling Sisters' Boutique, where you can buy treats for ladies and gentlement who are into vintage, retro, rockabilly, pinup, burlesque, swing, sci-fi, goth, steampunk and more.
